UTHealth Houston's Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences' AVENUE study is hiring a research assistant. This individual will serve as a secondary study coordinator, supporting day-to-day trial operations, while functioning as the primary efficacy rater responsible for administering clinician-rated scales in a timely, consistent, and protocol-compliant manner. A Master’s degree in Psychology (or a related field) and appropriate clinical/research experience is preferred.
Research is a central pillar of the UTHealth Houston Center for Interventional Psychiatry and is tightly integrated with the Center’s clinical mission. Our research efforts focus on advancing the understanding and treatment of severe, complex, and treatment-resistant psychiatric illness, with particular emphasis on mood disorders and interventional psychiatry.

Position Summary:
Under general supervision, conducts basic/ translational research which may include animal work and other activities according to research protocol. Research activities may include some or all of the following: handle biological samples, laboratory experiments and activities, and data collection.
