Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Geospatial Analyst to support our projects with the US Government. This position demands a high level of expertise in imagery analysis, feature data extraction from satellite imagery, and digital mapping. The role requires working in a production environment focused on quality and timeliness. Effective communication skills are essential for success in our all-remote team.

Responsibilities

• Perform feature data extraction from satellite imagery and digital mapping.
• Provide high-quality analysis within estimated hours and meet strict quality standards.
• Collaborate effectively with remote team members to achieve project goals.
• Utilize personal computer to access assigned systems for data collection and analysis.
• Ensure completion of tasks in a timely manner and meet or exceed project milestones.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in geospatial technologies including GIS and TDS.
• Experience with the Janus Geography contract and feature data extraction.
• Strong skills in imagery analysis and digital mapping.
• Excellent communication skills for remote team collaboration.
• Ability to consistently meet deadlines and work effectively in a production environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• BS degree in Geography, GIS, or related field with multiple GIS courses or equivalent GIS experience.
• Previous experience with MGCP, MUVD, and Conflation is advantageous.
• US citizenship is required for this position.
• Proven experience supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) is preferred.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position requiring the use of a personal computer to remotely access our information. Team members will work from home, sitting at a desk for at least eight hours per day, with the possibility of working more than 40 hours per week as needed to meet project deadlines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntsville, AL.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
