JOIN OUR TEAM AS A GIS ANALYST - I.T.
Moderate to complex technical work creating mapping products and working with spatial data on the County's computerized Geographic Information System (GIS).
Supports development and maintenance of an accurate sustainable geospatial model of Pasco County. Develops modeling methodologies, coordinates geospatial data collection, management, and analysis and generates project maps and presentations to meet the analytical and technical needs of County departments, other County, State and Federal agencies, and the public. Other job functions include researching county, state, federal, and public records and maps; creating thematic geospatial datasets; generating programming for and analysis of spatial data; producing hard copy maps, reports, and analysis for presentation; operating and maintaining GIS equipment; and utilizing enterprise level computers and databases. Participates in department projects and performs other duties as required.
PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. Able to lift 40 lbs.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, or a related field from an accredited college or university and two (2) years' work experience in GIS ORan Associate degree in computer Science, CAD drafting or related field and four (4) years' work experience in GIS. Proficiency with ArcModel Builder, Structured Query Language (SQL), and Javascript. Experience in ArcGIS Desktop Advanced and Standard versions.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver's license. Certificate from ArcGIS training class or equivalent preferred.
