Rehabilitation Aide (Per Diem, Day Shift)

Job Summary:

Performs patient and non-patient related tasks under the order, direction and immediate supervision of registered physical, occupational and speech therapists.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• High School Education/GED or equivalent: Required
• Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required

Essential Functions:

• Performs direct and indirect patient care duties under the supervision of appropriately licensed professionals, as delegated by department professionals and management.
• Assists with patient transport and transfers.
• Provides daily and timely patient chart documentation of interventions and services provided in the acute care setting. Documents employee and out-patient treatments, as necessary.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
