This position leads the Special Services Unit, which supports critical registration functions and helps maintain accurate and secure vital records. The role strengthens coordination, improves processes, and supports major programs within the Bureau of Health Statistics and Registries. As a Registry Specialist Supervisor, you will perform the following duties:
- Unit Leadership:Direct the operations of the Special Services Unit to meet goals, timelines, and reporting needs
- Regulatory Oversight:Manage activities to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations related to vital records
- Staff Supervision:Assign work, review performance, guide staff development, and support workplace needs
- Program Coordination:Work with internal teams and outside partners to resolve issues related to registry operations and data quality
- Quality Assurance:Review materials, forms, and stakeholder activities to ensure accuracy, privacy, and consistency
- System Development:Support the design and improvement of computer applications used for registry processes

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week, after completing a minimum of two weeks of mandatory on-site training.You may also be required to work on-site as dictated by operational and training needs.In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Registry Specialist(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of professional healthcare data management experience
