• Clinical Assessment & Care Planning: Expertly evaluate patient respiratory status to develop, implement, and adapt comprehensive treatment plans tailored to specific diagnoses and acuity levels.

• Advanced Modality Management: Execute and monitor complex respiratory interventions and life-support equipment, ensuring precise administration of pharmacological treatments and therapeutic procedures.

• Critical Care & Emergency Response: Serve as a key member of the rapid response and emergency resuscitation teams, providing life-saving airway management and stabilization during "Code Blue" events.

• Outcome-Driven Monitoring: Maintain rigorous documentation of patient progress, communicating critical physiological changes to the interdisciplinary team to optimize clinical outcomes and practice standards.

• Patient Advocacy & Education: Empower patients and families through targeted clinical education, discharge planning, and coordination with community support resources to ensure continuity of care.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Respiratory Care Practitioner credentialed from the Texas Respiratory Care Practitioners Certification Program obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Respiratory Care Practitioner provisional/temporary license will be accepted until license is issued.
• Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
