Job Title: Registered Nurse - 3-6 month temp contract

Job Description

A large organization is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) for a medical office located in New Haven County. The role involves providing exceptional care in a patient-friendly environment, addressing a wide range of ophthalmic conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient triage and provide comprehensive patient care.
  • Collaborate with Yale ophthalmologists to address complex eye problems, including glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
  • Assist in medical and surgical care for retinal disease, strabismus, uveitis, and perform ophthalmic plastic surgery.
  • Utilize on-site services such as corneal topography, electrophysiologic testing, and visual fields.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and patient records management using EPIC systems.

Essential Skills

  • Active RN License
  • Proficiency in patient triage
  • Experience with EPIC systems
  • Current BLS and CPR certifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in ophthalmology is preferred
  • 6 months+ of RN experience in a medical office setting
  • Familiarity with a range of diagnostic tools and procedures

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with a total of 37.5 hours per week. The working hours are flexible between 9:30 AM and 6:00 PM. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $42.00/hr.
