 What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will be responsible for developing hospital wide educational curriculum for staff nurses and physicians focused on the early recognition of severe sepsis and activation of the Code Sepsis Team
• You will assess the appropriate and early assessment of severe sepsis patients related to the transfer of patient care to the ICU Team
• You will obtain sepsis data collection and presentation to the hospital leadership and Medical Executive Committee
• You will provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting

• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required
• BSN required
• 3+ years RN critical care experience in an acute care setting required
• BLS & ACLS (American Heart Association &/or American Red Cross)
• Microsoft Office skills required
