Registered Nurse First Assistant

CVOR First Assist (RNFA/STFA) – Michigan | Day Shift | 40 Hours Guaranteed

We are currently seeking an experienced CVOR First Assist (RNFA or STFA) for a high-volume surgical facility in Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with strong cardiac experience and advanced vein harvesting skills.

Job Details:

• Shift Options: 4×10s (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) or 5×8s (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Hours: 40 hours/week (guaranteed)
• Start Dates: ASAP (05/04, 05/11, or 05/18)
• Call Requirement: 12–18 days per month
• Weekend Requirement: 2–3 weekends per month
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Key Requirements:

• Must be able to independently perform endoscopic vein harvesting
• Strong CVOR (Cardiovascular OR) experience required
• Scrub experience required
• Ability to assist across multiple specialties when needed (ortho, vascular, general, GYN, thoracic, etc.)
• Valid Michigan license required
• Minimum 1 year experience required (5+ years strongly preferred)

Additional Information:

• Facility handles 80–100 cases daily across 21 OR rooms
• Exposure to a wide variety of procedures including cardiac, trauma, neuro, ortho, and robotic surgeries
• Travelers may be required to float within the department
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions accepted)
