Role: Telehealth Nurse

Location: Cary, NC 27513 (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (occasional Saturdays)

Work Setup: Hybrid – Required to be onsite twice per week (Wednesday fixed, other day flexible)

Note: Candidates must live within commuting distance of Cary, NC (11800 Weston Parkway)


Required Skills

  • 4–5 years of acute care nursing experience


Preferred Skills

  • Experience in Oncology, Telehealth, or Medication Management


Role Overview

The Telehealth Nurse (Clinical Case Educator) plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. This position focuses on educating and supporting patients enrolled in medication therapy programs. The ideal candidate is self-driven, communicates effectively, and is committed to helping patients and supporting team goals.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, with occasional Saturday shifts
  • Provide education and counseling to patients on specialty medications
  • Ensure compliance with program guidelines, regulatory requirements, and drug protocols
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation following industry standards
  • Educate patients on side effects, treatment options, and medication adherence
  • Identify and report adverse events and product concerns to appropriate authorities
  • Support patients and providers by verifying medications and ensuring continuity of care
  • Follow patient engagement schedules, including regular follow-ups and medication management
  • Maintain patient records, including demographics and medical history, in compliance with HIPAA
  • Collaborate with pharmacy and support teams to ensure timely medication delivery


Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact state or North Carolina license required)
  • Associate’s, Bachelor’s, or higher degree in Nursing
  • Willingness to obtain additional state licenses within 3 months (supported by employer)
  • Minimum 4+ years of nursing experience; acute/inpatient care required, oncology preferred
  • Strong computer skills (email, MS Office, web-based systems)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (motivational interviewing is a plus)
  • Ability to interpret clinical standards, guidelines, and regulatory requirements
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid setup (onsite + remote)
