Registered Dietitian | Full Time | Day shift
Holland Home of Grand Rapids is seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian to join our amazing team of health care professionals on our beautiful Breton Woods Rehabilitation & Living Centre here in Grand Rapids! Our Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities are committed to delivering the highest quality care to the older adults we are honored to serve.
Responsibilities:
- Review physicians' diagnoses and design therapeutic nutritional care plans.
- Monitor and document patient progress, consulting with physicians as needed.
- Educate staff, residents, and families on diet plans and perform dietary counseling.
- Ensure food service operations comply with nutritional plans.
- Integrate and implement nutritional needs and diet restrictions with other departments.
- Review and document nutritional care plans to improve residents' eating functions.
- Revise and implement nutrition assessments and care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
- Process new diet orders and update diet cards.
- Complete dietary histories, care plans, and medical record charting promptly.
- Review and approve cycle menus with the management team.
- Recommend changes to enhance meal plans.
- Monitor safety, sanitation, and security in Dining Services.
Location: 2589 44th St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday days
- Day shift
- No weekends/No holidays
Compensation:
- Salary
- Wages increase with years of relevant experience
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in food and nutrition or dietetics from an accredited college or university program.
- Current registration with the American Dietetics Association.
- Two years of experience as a Dietitian is required.
- ServSafe certification.
- Experience in assessing and educating the geriatric and elderly population is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and compassion for the elderly and their families.
