Position Overview

Altius Dental is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our team in Sherman, TX. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a motivated, patient-focused hygienist who is passionate about preventive care and patient education.

The RDH will provide comprehensive preventive dental services while creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for patients. This role includes collaborating closely with providers to support treatment planning and deliver high-quality patient care.

Compensation & Bonus
  • Competitive Pay: $42.00 – $48.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $500 bonus after successful completion of 60 days of employment
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling, and root planing
  • Review patient medical and dental histories
  • Conduct oral health assessments and document findings accurately
  • Take and interpret dental radiographs
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
  • Identify and manage signs of periodontal disease
  • Collaborate with dentists on treatment planning
  • Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards
  • Support an efficient, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment
Qualifications
  • Active Texas Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in good standing
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong clinical knowledge in preventive dentistry and periodontal care
  • Experience with routine cleanings, scaling, root planing, and oral health education
  • Knowledge of infection control protocols, radiography, and dental charting software
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based environment
  • Experience working with underserved or rural communities is preferred, but not required
