Position Overview
The Regional Sales Manager will serve as a key strategic leader within Fragrance Du Bois, responsible for driving sales performance, operational excellence, and brand presence across the East and Midwest regions of the United States.
This role requires a highly experienced professional with a strong background in luxury retail and multi-door management. The successful candidate will oversee all retail points of sale within the assigned territory, ensuring consistent execution of brand standards, achievement of sales targets, and the development of strong relationships with retail partners.
In addition to regional oversight, the role requires flexibility to support other territories and business initiatives as needed. The position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, ensuring both high-level performance and excellence at store level.
This position reports directly to the Vice President of Fragrance Du Bois Americas.
Core Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership & Performance Management
- Drive and oversee sales performance across all doors within the East and Midwest regions
- Track, analyze, and report sales data, KPIs, and performance trends across the territory
- Identify opportunities for growth and implement actionable strategies to maximize revenue
- Ensure all locations meet or exceed sales targets and productivity benchmarks
- Maintain full visibility on business performance and proactively address underperforming doors
Retail & Account Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key retail partners, including department store management and buying offices
- Negotiate in-store opportunities such as counter space, brand visibility, animations, and promotional support
- Ensure consistent and elevated brand representation across all locations
- Conduct store visits (in coordination with VP) to evaluate performance, merchandising, and team engagement.
- Support and oversee both major department store accounts and independent retailers in the region as needed
Marketing, Events & In-Store Activations
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to execute campaigns, launches, and in-store activations
- Identify and develop opportunities to increase brand visibility and customer engagement
- Plan, organize, and host in-store events, client experiences, and brand activations
- Ensure all initiatives are executed in line with brand guidelines and timelines
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align product launches with retail and promotional strategies
Training & Team Development
- Recruit, hire, and manage Brand Ambassadors across the assigned territory
- Lead onboarding and ongoing training programs to ensure strong product knowledge and sales performance
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for retail teams and Brand Ambassadors
- Monitor individual and team performance, providing coaching and implementing improvements when needed
- Foster a high-performance culture aligned with the brand values and standards
Operations & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure seamless execution of retail operations across all doors/locations
- Coordinate with internal teams on inventory, product launches, and promotional planning
- Maintain visibility on stock levels and support operational efficiency
- Support cross-regional initiatives and assist other territories as needed
Reporting & Communication
- Prepare and submit detailed weekly reports to senior management, including: o Sales performance
- Key insights and trends
- Opportunities and challenges
- Action plans and follow-ups
- Provide market feedback, including competitor activity and retailer insights
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with Vice President and internal teams
Scope of Role
- Full oversight of retail performance across the East and Midwest regions
- Direct management of Brand Ambassadors and coordination with retail teams
- Responsibility for driving sales growth, brand execution, and market expansion
- Support for additional regions and independent accounts as required
