The Role
Objective
Functions as a strategic and operational business partner to the Vice President,Food & BeverageOperations – The Lifestyle Group, Americas, supporting The Lifestyle Group’s brand portfolio. The role is responsible for managing hotel Food & Beverage operations of outlet pre-opening, ramp, renovations, and transitions, ensuring operational readiness, compliance, performance analysis, and profitability across assigned hotels. This position drives the execution of Hyatt’s Food & Beverage operational standards, leads the role in testing and piloting, assists in performance benchmarking, and supports data-driven decision-making to enhance Food & Beverage performance across the region.
Operations
· Provides oversight and guidance to ensure hotels maintain operational readiness, achieve service excellence, and consistently meet Hyatt’s brand and quality standards across allFood & Beverageinitiatives.
· Work cross functionally with regional support leadership, specifically Culinary, Finance, HR, Brand, Design, Marketing, and IT with a keen focus on operational best practices and driving budgeted revenues and GOP for the region’s food and beverage.
· Drive consistency and execution of Food & Beverage initiatives across all brands and properties.
· Participates in property visits and consulting assignments.
· Monitor and hold operational, purchasing, and menu programming standards in their region’s outlets and work together with respective department heads to take corrective action where appropriate.
· Analyze the products of their region and ensure that food and beverage team members are performing at a high level and that our service meets the needs of the market.
· Analyze the products of competitors and ensure that all staff are aware of current trends.
· Fully understand all matters of purchasing, quality and cost control and ensure that profit and quality are maximized at all times.
· Attend relevant meetings and develop material as needed for updates and changes to Brand Standard Programs and Purchasing Brand Standards.
· Leadsfood & beverageproformas, consulting visits, and pilot implementations for productivity and profitability.
· Monitor all hotel openings and Food and beverage projects, working with the Openings and Transitions Team to support and align Food and Beverage needs.
· Supports openings, renovations, and transitions across Hyatt’s Lifestyle portfolio of hotels.
· Reviews layouts, OS&E, and FF&E for design efficiency and compliance.
· Is the subject matter expert around POS technology and can provide strategic recommendations to enable on-property performance.
· Drives continuous improvement through technology and data insights.
· Develops and enhances digital tools and reporting systems that leverage property-level data to improve forecasting accuracy, project management, and strategic planning.
· Stay abreast of new technologies and equipment and ensure these are brought to market as appropriate.
· Stay abreast of sustainability opportunities and implement, as appropriate, to promote Hyatt’s global goals for conservation.
· Stay abreast of new trends in hospitality.
Talent Development
· Recommend and assist with, and approve, selection of front of house and kitchen management personnel to fill open positions in their region.
· Oversee training and development for all salaried FOH and Kitchen leaders in the region, mentor and track performance, lead succession planning.
· Provide tools and support for the development of Hyatt management.
· Conducts training needs analyses and develops property-specific learning pathways.
· Implements AI-drivenFood & Beveragetraining programs to improve efficiency, profitability, and compliance.
Performance
· Develops and monitors brand-level Food & Beverage KPIs.
· Leads data collection and analysis for their regional portfolio of hotels.
· Frequently report on the performance of their region with respect to guest experience metrics, management performance, development, and turnover, marketing initiatives and PR recognition, and financial performance against budget and program goals.
· Leads key and underperforming property support to drive positive performance.
· Benchmarks outlet performance and identifies pricing and labor optimization opportunities using AI tools.
· Guides field teams on new processes, performance strategies, and brand standards.
· Provides insights, recommendations, and KPI reporting to senior leadership.
Compliance & Audit Oversight
· Oversees and evaluatesFood and beverage audit processes, ensuring timely and effective corrective actions for Hyatt-managedhotels.
· Monitors operational compliance with food safety, sanitation, and brand standards across all properties.
· Analyzes and consolidates audit data within digital platforms to provide actionable insights for leadership review.
Experience Required:
· Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Food & Beverage Hotel and Restaurant operations, hospitality management, or a related business function.
· Minimum of 5 years as Director overseeing a food and beverage department with signature restaurant(s) and bar(s).
· Must have worked in at least four different restaurants and bars.
· Must be able to travel extensively (approximately 60–80%) to support property visits, training, and operational initiatives.
· Service-oriented mindset with strong communication, presentation, and training abilities.
· Skilled at building relationships and working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders across brands and regions.
· Demonstrates agile leadership — adaptable, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvement.
· Self-starter who thrives in both independent and cross-functional environments.
· Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into action.
· Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
· Highly proficient and comfortable with Food & Beverage technology, digital platforms, and data-driven decision-making.
· Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in Food & Beverage financial systems, forecasting, and P&L management; advanced Excel proficiency required.
· Proficient in standard business software, including Word, Excel, Canva, PowerPoint, financial reporting tools such as Hyperion/Essbase, Outlook, Mac, OpenTable (or similar Table Management System), Oracle Simphony (or similar Point-of-Sale system).
· Active use and up-to-date understanding of AI.
Experience Preferred:
· Bachelor’s in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Food & Beverage, or Culinary preferred, but not required
· Spanish speaking would be a plus
