Job Title: Regional Controller

Location: On-Site w/hybrid positional

Starting Salary: Up to $150,000

Reports To: CFO


The Regional Controller is responsible for leading and overseeing the accounting and financial control activities for multiple manufacturing plant sites. This role ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, compliance with corporate policies, and operational support for plant leadership. The Regional Controller partners closely with site accountants, plant managers, operations leaders, and corporate finance to drive consistency, accountability, and financial performance across all locations.


Key Responsibilities: Based on general knowledge.

  • Oversee all accounting controller functions for multiple plant manufacturing sites, including month-end close, account reconciliations, inventory accounting, fixed assets, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
  • Provide leadership and direction to accounting team.
  • Ensure consistency in accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls across all sites.
  • Review and analyze plant financial statements, key performance indicators, cost variances, and operational metrics.
  • Partner with plant and operations leadership to improve financial performance, reduce costs, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, labor efficiency, overhead absorption, and standard costing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, audit requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Support internal and external audits and coordinate remediation of control findings where needed.
  • Drive process improvements, standardization, and systems enhancements across plant accounting operations.
  • Review capital expenditure requests, track project spending, and ensure proper accounting treatment.
  • Oversee working capital performance, including inventory controls and other balance sheet management activities.
  • Mentor, develop, and evaluate accounting staff and site controllers to build bench strength and succession plans.
  • Serve as a key liaison between plant operations and corporate finance leadership.


Qualifications: Based on general knowledge.

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including significant manufacturing and multi-site leadership experience.
  • Prior experience as a Plant Controller, Regional Controller, Division Controller, or similar leadership role in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and internal controls.
  • Experience overseeing month-end close and financial reporting for multiple locations.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, communication, and business partnering skills.
  • Ability to travel to manufacturing sites as needed.

  • Multi-plant or multi-entity manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, or operational excellence initiatives.
