Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or related field; master’s degree in correlating field, preferred
  • At least 5+ years of experience in contracts and insurance, ideally focusing on heavy lift and/or transportation operations.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in similar position
  • In-depth knowledge on the application of contracting terminology and terms and conditions including insurance requirements.

Purpose


The Regional Contracts Manager is part of the Global team of the Legal, Insurance and Compliance Department. The Regional Contracts Manager will be responsible for identifying, engaging and overseeing all aspects of contract and insurance management in the broadest sense within their assigned region. This role includes negotiating and managing contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations, and mitigating risks through effective contractual and insurance strategies and record keeping.


Key Responsibilities and key result area’s


  • Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts with the purpose of gaining the best terms and conditions for Roll Group
  • Proactive engagement and collaboration with internal stakeholders on project requirements and ensure alignment with company strategy and objectives
  • Continuous monitoring of contract performance and compliance ensuring ongoing adherence with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Meticulous recordkeeping of all contractual, insurance, and any other relevant documentation
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on contractual matters
  • Preparation and presentation of regular reports on contract and insurance activities in the region Conduct regular internal audits to ensure adherence to contractual obligations and insurance requirements
  • Together with business leaders, identify top suppliers and customers, and facilitate master service agreements with such suppliers and customers
  • Manage COIs for the organization and ensure accuracy of data within COIs prior to sharing with external parties
  • Identify and assess insurance needs for projects and operations within the region
  • Liaise with insurance brokers and carriers to secure appropriate coverage
  • Review and manage (current) insurance policies, ensuring they are aligned with company and project requirements
  • Have the ability to build team consensus and ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline and multi-cultural environment
  • Handle insurance claims, coordinating with relevant parties to ensure timely and effective resolution
  • Risk identification, assessment, and management of (new) contracts and their relevant insurance requirements
  • Be a trusted partner in providing support, guidance, and conduct risk assessments for new projects and contracts
  • Provide training and guidance to staff including project teams on contractual and risk management practices
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in multi-discipline and multi-cultural environment
  • As part of the global legal team, develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks in the region
  • Focus on continuous learning by staying up-to-date on industry trends and changes in contractual and insurance regulations
  • Performing other related duties as necessary or assigned by manager or supervisor
