PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Recruiter is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle for assigned academic and administrative positions. This role partners closely with hiring managers and HR colleagues to attract, assess, and hire high-quality talent aligned with the University’s mission, goals, and commitment to inclusion.
The Recruiter ensures a seamless and compliant recruitment process from requisition intake through offer acceptance while delivering a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full Lifecycle Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviews, offer development, and pre-employment coordination.
- Hiring Manager Partnership: Consult with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, define job requirements, and develop recruitment strategies aligned with departmental and institutional priorities.
- Candidate Sourcing: Develop and execute sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals to build diverse and qualified candidate pools.
- Candidate Assessment: Evaluate applicants for qualifications, competencies, and alignment with role requirements; conduct interviews and provide structured recommendations.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure timely communication, professionalism, and transparency throughout the recruitment process to maintain a strong employer reputation.
- Market Insight & Guidance: Provide hiring managers with relevant market intelligence related to candidate availability, sourcing trends, and competitive considerations.
- Data & Reporting: Maintain accurate recruitment activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS); review recruitment metrics to support continuous process improvement.
- Compliance: Ensure recruitment practices comply with federal, state, and EEO regulations, University policies, and ethical hiring standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with HR colleagues and administrative partners to ensure smooth onboarding transitions and process consistency.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of human resources or recruitment-related experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing full-cycle recruitment processes.

- Candidate Assessment: Skilled in evaluating qualifications, competencies, and job fit.
