The Recreation Assistant performs administrative duties for the department of Recreation & Wellness, which include Campus Recreation, SUU Outdoors, and the Health and Wellness Center. This position assists with recreational programming within the department.
Scheduling of student staff and reservations.
General Administrative Duties.
P-Card Audits and Purchasing for department.
General Management of PE Building and staff in the evenings.
Train new student employees.
Other duties as assinged.
Minimum Qualifications
High School or GED.
Familiarity with recreational programming.
Familiarity with computer programs including Microsoft Office and Google.
Knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Attention to detail.
History of dependability, reliability, initiative, neat appearance, and an outgoing personality.
Proven management and organizational abilities to plan and independently execute projects/tasks within specific deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with a diverse group of individuals.
Organizational ability to respond to multiple project requirements simultaneously and on a frequent basis.
Working knowledge of or the ability to acquire a working knowledge of Banner, the University's student and financial management software.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates or Bachelor's Degree.
Experience in Higher Education.
Experience in a Recreation or Wellness setting.
Website maintenance.
Aquatics, recreation, or outdoors based experience.
