JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for overseeing and supervising residents of the Adult Recovery House, a 24/7 residential facility for patients in early recovery from addiction.

Special Requirement: Incumbent must be free from substance abuse for the last two (2) consecutive years.

MAJOR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists supervisors in ensuring adequate staffing of the Adult Recovery House. Ensures coverage due to planned and unplanned staff absences.Ensures that Resident Aides’ understand the Adult Recovery House policies and procedures.Works with Adult Recovery House Management in compiling reports and data.Calls in resident prescriptions; monitors and documents resident medications.Performs various administrative tasks including, but not limited to, answering phones, filing, creating files, making copies, and ordering supplies.Conducts observed UA’s. Conducts census reports and document all residents in building throughout the day; observes security cameras throughout shift; completes incident reports as needed.Attends various trainings as required.Creates a weekly chore list for all residents and document completion of assigned chores. Conducts orientation for new (resident) admits.Conducts offsite house checks.Must adhere to the NAADAC/Behavioral Health code of ethics. Assists with Clean & Sober Home activities and duties.Attends weekly staff meetings at the Adult Recovery House.Through telephone calls or home visits, interviews and identifies clients’ needs for transportation or social service assistance.Informs clients of available services and refers to appropriate service provider or community resource; assists clients by filling out forms and advocating or intervening on their behalf, if necessary.Transports and/or accompanies clients and/or families to obtain medical and/or alcohol and drug treatment or other required services.Conducts periodic home visits to monitor client needs.Organizes and participates in community events; attends various committee meetings.Maintains confidential files and records.Maintain the privacy and confidentiality of all protected health information in accordance with the Division’s Policies and Procedures, and in compliance with state and federal regulations.Because of the Tribe’s commitment to community service and the well-being of its members, each employee may be expected to perform a wide range of office and field duties from time to time. Such duties may or may not be related to their regular responsibilities.

EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING FOR POSITION

Graduation from high school or equivalent and six (6) months of related experience in a community services organization is required.

Knowledge of:

  • Chemical dependency assessment.

  • Managing multiple projects.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to operate, finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; push and pull; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet.
