Job Summary

The Receiver unloads, inspects, and processes incoming deliveries, creates receiving records and labels; and moves received goods to their designated locations. This role r also prepares kitted parts, picks customer orders in the CG warehouse, and provides backup support to other team members as needed.

Job Duties

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist drivers with unloading incoming deliveries.
  • Perform immediate visual inspection for damage, documenting and rejecting as necessary.
  • -Verify part numbers and quantities by comparing packing slips to purchase orders..
  • Record discrepancies and promptly report them to the supervisor .
  • Process incoming deliveries in the ERP system to maintain accurate inventory records .
  • Generate and apply receiving labels to incoming materials.
  • Transfer received goods to designated storage locations or production work areas.
  • Maintain required certifications to safely operate powered industrial lift trucks (forklifts).
  • Prepare kitted parts within the CG Warehouse to support production schedules.
  • Accurately pick customer orders from the CG Warehouse and deliver them to Shipping.
  • Monitor CG supply levels and submit replenishment requisitions to prevent delays.
  • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve receiving, kitting, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Quality, Production, and Shipping to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor and respond to voicemail and email messages daily.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of work experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics preferred.
  • Familiarity with manual hand trucks, pallet jacks, and protective eyewear.
  • Familiar working with an ERP/MRP system.
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with others to exchange information.
  • Ability to follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ability to be trained and qualified to operate powered lift trucks.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand instructions in English.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk continuously.
  • Ability to bend, squat, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to use computers, telephones, and other standard equipment.
  • Ability to see with close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and with depth perception.
