An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Real Estate Capital Markets Litigation Associate to join a highly regarded real estate litigation team in New York. Responsibilities:
- Handle a broad range of commercial real estate litigation matters
- Manage commercial landlord-tenant disputes, including preparation and service of predicate notices and court pleadings
- Assist with commercial foreclosure litigation matters
- Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other litigation documents
- Manage discovery processes, including e-discovery matters
- Attend court appearances and support litigation strategy development
- Work collaboratively with colleagues while also managing matters independently
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years’ commercial litigation experience
- Experience with motion practice, discovery, and courtroom appearances
- Strong background in commercial landlord-tenant litigation
- Experience in commercial foreclosure litigation or a willingness to develop expertise in this area
- Excellent legal research and drafting skills, including familiarity with New York citation formatting
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience within a large regional, national, or international law firm is preferred
