Real Estate Associate – Virginia Beach, VA

ProspectBlue is partnering with a respected law firm in Virginia Beach to find an early-career Real Estate Associate who’s ready to take ownership of their work and grow quickly in a client-facing role.
This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with at least one year of experience who’s interested in residential real estate transactions and wants hands-on involvement in closings from day one. This is a fully onsite role, offering direct mentorship and meaningful exposure to clients and deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage residential real estate closings from contract to post-closing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness at every stage
- Review purchase agreements, title commitments, surveys, and loan documents to identify and resolve issues
- Conduct closings and effectively communicate with buyers, sellers, agents, and lenders throughout the transaction
- Coordinate with title companies, lenders, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and efficient closings
- Prepare and review closing documents, including deeds, settlement statements, and affidavits
- Address title defects and assist in clearing title issues prior to closing
- Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal real estate laws and regulations
- Maintain organized and accurate transaction files while managing multiple closings simultaneously
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in Virginia
- At least 1 year of experience in real estate law (residential closings experience strongly preferred)
- Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A team-first mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills
