Summary:
The Multi-Modality Technologist provides diagnostic imaging in multiple specialties in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. Minimally 25% of their time is allocated in practicing a secondary discipline.

Responsibilities:
Demonstrates flexibility and competency to provide patient care throughout the South Broward Hospital District to a variety of patient populations.
Charges appropriately for all supplies used for procedure and utilizes appropriate exam codes.
Prepares equipment and supplies. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and reports equipment malfunctions.
Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
Takes on call shift responsibilities as required by the department.
Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s) taking appropriate action to resolve image quality issues. Enters, transmits and reports scan results.
Assists with preparation and administration of contrast media or medications within scope of practice. Monitors patient condition continually; reports and responds to changes in status, as appropriate.
Performs Diagnostic imaging studies in at least two (2) imaging modalities.
