Job Title: Radiation Therapy Technologist

Employment Type:Per Diem

Shift:PRN per department needs, weekend and holiday requirements
Location: Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital - Darby, PA

Position Purpose

Administers prescribed treatment to patients using specialized therapy and computer systems. The purpose is delivery of quality care. Perform and/or assist in CT simulation procedure in CAT Scan department.

  • Accurately delivers the prescribed planned course of therapy using the Linear Accelerator.

  • Observes radiation safety measures for patient, self and others.

  • Utilizes safety features of the safety needle (tatooing) appropriately.

  • Assists patient to be as comfortable as possible on the table during all procedures, uses kneepads, armrests, security belts, additional blankets.

  • Communicates with patient to ensure importance of comfort of position, allowing patient to have choices as appropriate to the situation.

Requirements:

  • HS graduate or equivalent

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy Technology

  • Registered as ARRT with certification in radiation therapy

  • BLS
