What You'll Need:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program

• AART Certification in Radiation Therapy (RT(T) through ARRT)

• Valid Connecticut Radiation Therapy state license or radiographer license as required

• Minimum 1.5 years' clinical experience as a Radiation Therapist required. Preferred: 2+ years' experience.

• Experience with Varian linear accelerator systems and on-board imaging.

• Experience with Varian ARIA and AlignRT surface motion technology preferred.

• Experience with simulation procedures and immobilization techniques.


Additional Duties:

• Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators.

• Accurately position patients and ensure proper immobilization during treatment.

• Verify treatment plans and dosages with the oncology team.

• Monitor patients for adverse reactions during and after therapy.

• Document treatments and maintain accurate patient records.

  • Primary work site: New Milford Hospital (primary); infrequent coverage at Danbury Hospital.

  • Shift hours: 07:00 - 15:30 (Days 5x8.5)
  • Work days: Monday - Friday
  • Duration: 13 Week assignment
  • Required certifications/licenses: ARRT (RT(T)) and Connecticut state radiographer/radiation therapy license.
