Compensation: $49.57 – $72.76 / hour (Strict, transparent scale based entirely on verified years of experience)

Medix has partnered with a premier, privately-owned oncology group to find a dedicated Radiation Therapist for their premier Gig Harbor, WA location. Known locally as a "spa center" for its serene environment and manageable pace, this clinic is ideal for a professional who wants to focus deeply on patient care without the burnout of a high-volume hospital setting.
You will join a focused, tight-knit on-site team of three full-time Radiation Therapists, a highly experienced Lead Therapist, and a Radiation Oncologist with a 25-year history of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Treatment Administration: Administer therapeutic radiation in exact accordance with physician prescriptions and treatment plans.
- Quality Assurance: Review patient charts, diagnoses, and prescriptions for completeness and technical accuracy. Manage daily operation and warm-up procedures for all treatment equipment.
- Patient Care & Safety: Position patients accurately, confirm patient identification before every treatment, and prepare specialized immobilization, treatment, and protection devices.
- Monitoring & Documentation: Monitor and reassure patients during treatment, reporting any unusual reactions to the Physician or Nurse. Maintain detailed, accurate records, photographs, and treatment files.
- Data Management: Enter clinical data into Record & Verify computer systems to operate equipment and regulate precise dosages.
- Safety Protocols: Strictly adhere to all radiation protection principles to ensure patient, self, and team safety.
Position Requirements
Education & Credentials
- Associate degree (A.A.) or higher in Radiation Therapy.
- Active ARRT (T) certification.
- Washington State licensure (or immediate eligibility to obtain).
Technical Skills & Experience
- Hands-on clinical experience operating Varian TrueBeam radiation therapy systems is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the broader tech stack: Varian 21iX, Siemens Go CT, Mosaic (Record & Verify), and High-Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy.
- Open to all experience levels—from high-potential New Graduates to seasoned veterans with 14+ years in the field.
Physical Demands & Environment
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stretch for extensive periods of time.
- Capability to lift up to 30 pounds and assist patients with physical mobility and positioning.
- Comfortable working in an environment with potential exposure to communicable diseases.
