Job Title: Electronics Test Technician

Job Description

The Radar Integration Test Technician performs hands-on RF testing, assembly, and integration of radar subsystems in a laboratory and controlled test environment. This role focuses on setting up and operating RF test equipment, executing detailed test procedures, accurately documenting results, and supporting troubleshooting activities to ensure radar systems meet stringent defense, quality, and safety standards. The position offers the opportunity to work in a modern facility and support a large-scale radar modernization program with international travel.

Responsibilities

  • Perform RF testing on radar subsystems using standard RF test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Assemble and integrate RF components, including RF wiring, cabling, and connectors.
  • Set up and operate RF and electronic test equipment in laboratory or controlled test environments.
  • Follow detailed technical procedures, test plans, and documentation requirements with high accuracy.
  • Record, organize, and report test results clearly and accurately.
  • Support troubleshooting and fault isolation on radar subsystems and RF components based on test results.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable defense, quality, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to support radar integration and testing activities.
  • Maintain test equipment, tools, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
  • Support testing and integration activities during extended assignments, including travel-based work.

Essential Skills

  • Experience working with RF instrumentation and RF testing equipment.
  • Hands-on experience with RF wiring, cabling, and RF component assembly.
  • Familiarity with laboratory or production test environments.
  • Ability to set up and operate standard RF and electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to follow detailed technical procedures, test plans, and documentation accurately.
  • Understanding of basic electronics and RF principles from practical experience.
  • Ability to support troubleshooting activities based on test data and observations.
  • Ability to comply with defense, quality, and safety standards in a technical environment.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally for extended periods (including 90 days in Spain).
  • U.S. citizenship.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate degree (AS/AAS) in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Systems, Control Systems, RF Technology, or a related technical field, OR technical/trade school certification as an Electronics or Telecommunications Technician.
  • Prior experience as an Electrical Technician or in an electrical engineering support role.
  • Experience working with defense or aerospace standards.
  • Prior experience supporting radar or defense-related systems.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-focused engineering and test environment.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role based in a brand-new, modern facility in Olathe, designed to support advanced radar integration and testing activities. Work takes place primarily in laboratory and controlled test environments equipped with RF test equipment, electronic instrumentation, and tools for RF assembly and integration. The role includes international travel, including an assignment of approximately 90 days in Spain to support radar testing and integration efforts. The environment emphasizes adherence to defense, quality, and safety standards, with a professional, engineering-focused culture that supports large-scale radar modernization projects. Standard technical attire appropriate for a lab and production test setting is expected, with additional safety gear provided as required by specific tasks or areas.

This is a Permanent position based out of Overland Park, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45000.00 - $87000.00/yr.

Company has excellent benefits. 3 weeks PTO 12 holidays to start
