We are seeking a detail-oriented and meticulous Quality Control Technician to join our client's team in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and safety of life-enhancing medical products.
You will be responsible for performing inspections, tests, and quality assurance checks on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished medical devices to ensure strict compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements
The Quality Control Technician will execute detailed inspections and documentation necessary to ensure product quality throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and functional tests on incoming materials, components, and finished medical devices according to established sampling plans and procedures.
Measurement: Perform visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and other quality control checks using various measuring equipment, including optical comparators and electrical testing devices.
Documentation: Accurately document all inspection and test results in quality records, logs, and databases, maintaining meticulous record-keeping skills.
Non-Conformance Management: Identify, document, and segregate non-conforming materials and products, ensuring proper control of defective items.
Quality Investigations: Assist in the investigation of quality issues, deviations, and customer complaints, participating in root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in quality control within a regulated manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry.
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820).
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in using various measuring tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, optical comparators, electrical testing).
Technical Interpretation: Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and procedures.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a science-related field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Engineering) is preferred.
Communication: Effective communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $19.00 - $20.00
