Responsibilities:
As a Quality Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of products and processes through rigorous testing and laboratory management. Your attention to detail and adherence to quality standards will contribute to maintaining the highest level of product integrity.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare test samples.
· Characterize and perform raw materials upon receipt.
· Characterize in-process products according to control plans.
· Characterize finished products based on control plans and test reports.
· Complete test reports.
· Update the SPC.
· Maintain the laboratory in collaboration with inspectors.
· Schedule instrument calibration.
· Replace defective instruments in the laboratory.
· Perform product and process audits across various departments.
· Validate product compliance with drawings and established quality criteria.
· Perform different tests in laboratory.
· Perform any other related tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to detect inconsistencies.
· Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and quality documentation.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
· Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
· Basic knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation for process control.
Requirements:
· Diploma or degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. (An asset)
· Experience in quality control, testing, and laboratory procedures, preferably in a manufacturing or composites industry. (An asset)
· Familiarity with SPC, quality audits, and root cause analysis methods.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and quality management systems.
· Knowledge of non-destructive and destructive testing methods is an asset.
