Job Description

As a Quality Technician, you will perform product audits on the production floor, support specification reviews, and communicate quality requirements. You will conduct and document test procedures, build and install test fixtures and prototypes, and use measurement tools to verify parts. You will collaborate with Quality Engineers, Operations, and OPD teams to resolve issues and participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product audits on the production floor.
• Support specification reviews and communicate quality requirements.
• Conduct and document test procedures, including air/water/structural testing.
• Build and install test fixtures and prototypes.
• Use measurement tools like tape measures, calipers, and micrometers to verify parts.
• Partner with Quality Engineers, Operations, and OPD teams to resolve issues.
• Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain quality documentation and standard work instructions.
• Assist with calibration and care of quality/test equipment.
• Attend daily shift debriefs and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

Essential Skills

• Strong computer skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical degree or related education preferred.
• Comfortable working on the production floor with tool familiarity.

Work Environment

A Quality Technician works in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, production-floor environment. This role involves hands-on problem-solving, diagnosing issues, supporting operators, and ensuring quality standards are met. The environment is structured, busy, and physical, with solid training and growth potential. However, it may involve tight timelines and high expectations. Opportunities are available on both first and second shifts.

This is a Permanent position based out of Dubuque, IA.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Dubuque,IA.
