POSITION: Quality Technician (3rd Shift)

What You Will Do:
- Respond to RTPR (Real Time Problem Resolution) while covering the 3rd shift
- Identify defects or inconsistencies in materials and products and report findings per established procedures
- Maintaining accurate records of inspections, tests, and results.
- Identify defects or inconsistencies in materials and products and report findings to the customer’s management team.
- Generating reports on quality findings and recommendations.
- Identifying and troubleshooting quality issues and defects
- Contributing to the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and collaborating with other teams to resolve quality issues
- Analyzing data collected during inspections and tests to identify trends and patterns, and reporting findings to relevant personnel.
- Ensuring that products and processes comply with industry regulations, company standards, and customer requirements
- Process Quality Notification of non-conforming material
- Disposition of parts that have been determined to be scrap
What You Will Bring:
- Associate degree in a technical field or 3+ years of experience in quality inspection, aerospace manufacturing, operations, or automotive manufacturing
- Experience leading or mentoring teams in a regulated, technical environment.
- Strong knowledge of inspection techniques, including GD&T, part drawings, and gaging tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.).
- Thorough knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data entry systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with internal teams and customers.
- The ability to identify and resolve quality issues effectively
Pay Range: $65,000 - $70,000 per year with sign on bonus
Work Requirements: This role is considered an on-site position located in Rome, NY.
- You must be able to commute to and from the location with your own transportation arrangements to meet the required working hours.
- 3rd Shift: 11 PM - 7:30 AM
- Shop floor environment, which may include but not limited to extensive walking, and ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Travel Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, no travel is required.
