Quality Engineer — Santa Monica

Essential skills

• 3–7 years experience as a quality engineer in the medical device industry
• Hands-on manufacturing quality — incoming inspection, FAI, final product release
• Engineering drawing interpretation and GD&T
• CAPA management from initiation through to closure and verification of effectiveness
• Nonconformance documentation and follow-up
• Supplier quality management including ASL maintenance and SCAR programme
• Working knowledge of FDA QSR / 21 CFR 820 and ISO 13485

The following skills would also be beneficial

• Design control experience — document reviews, design outputs, DHF and DMR maintenance
• V&V protocol and report writing
• Risk management file support
• ASQ CQE certification
• Experience supporting internal and external audits

You must be comfortable working independently and taking ownership of quality processes without significant hand-holding, while also being a collaborative member of a small engineering team.
