LHH is seeking a Quality Engineer for a full-time, Direct Hire, permanent position with a growing manufacturing organization located in the Indianapolis, IN area.


This role supports a dynamic, high-mix manufacturing environment focused on delivering customized assembly, kitting, and fulfillment solutions to a diverse customer base. The Quality Engineer will play a key role in ensuring product quality, driving continuous improvement, and supporting customer and supplier quality initiatives.


Location-Onsite: Indianapolis, IN

Compensation: $75,000–$85,000 annually (may be negotiable based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and support quality planning activities, including control plans, inspection procedures,

APQP, and PPAP submissions

• Monitor manufacturing processes to ensure consistent product quality and compliance with

ISO 9001 and customer requirements (IATF 16949 preferred)

• Conduct root cause analysis using 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone methodologies; implement

corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

• Perform and support Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) and capability studies

• Investigate customer and internal quality issues, driving timely resolution and containment

actions

• Support supplier quality activities, including evaluation, issue resolution, and PPAP approvals

• Participate in internal and external audits and maintain quality documentation

• Analyze quality data and trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement


Qualifications:

• 3+ years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred; 5+

years ideal)

• Hands-on experience leading PPAP processes independently

• Working knowledge of APQP, MSA, and capability studies

• Experience with ISO 9001 required; IATF 16949 strongly preferred

• Familiarity with GD&T and quality inspection tools

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
