Your Responsibilities

As a Quality Engineer for JD Dubuque Works located in Dubuque, IA, you will be:

  • Support daily build operations on the skid steer assembly and fabrication lines by enabling production teams to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets
  • Lead resolution and prevention of as delivered quality issues, internal nonconformances, and customer experience / warranty concerns
  • Drive containment, root cause, and corrective action for factory quality issues
  • Partner closely with Supplier Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Design Engineering, and Supply Management to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined, documented, and executed
  • Ensure robust execution of quality plans, process controls, error proofing, and continuous improvement initiatives within the order fulfillment process
  • Analyze quality data and trends to identify systemic issues and drive sustainable improvements in manufacturing processes and product quality

What Skills You Need

  • 1 or more years of experience working in or with a manufacturing, fabrication or assembly environment
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and document containment, root cause, and corrective action for complex quality issues
  • Experience utilizing standard quality tools such as FMEA, DPARs, control plans, PPAP, and root cause analysis
  • Experience applying structured problem solving and project management skills to rapidly respond to quality issues
  • Effective communication (both verbal and written) with the ability to lead difficult discussions with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel up to 25% based on business needs
Education

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degrees are preferred)
