In this position, you will serve as the Quality Engineer for the company’s aerospace and ceramics customers. You will lead, assign, track, and manage assignments. You will be required to work directly with customers and site to meet quality standards and expectations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Use data to identify potential failures and improve the quality of these to comply with customer's requirements.

• Generating reports to identify the likelihood of failures and its severity on products.

• Coordinate with engineering to implement quality requirements and specific needs for products.

• Conduct investigations and audits to ensure process compliance with customer requirements and specifications for products and processes.

• Knowledge and ability to use inspection tools, measuring and test equipment.

• Leads root-cause-analysis, supports the implementation of corrective actions, and reviews the effectiveness of implemented corrective actions.

• Conducts product and process audits

•Authority to stop production in the case of non-conforming products.

• Collects and uses statistical data for the monitoring and evaluation of trends.

• Maintain and update QMS (Quality Management System) documents and quality contents as needed.

• Provide technical leadership to coordinate implementation of advanced quality processes including statistically based variation reduction, control planning, and present metrics associated with quality trends and related improvements within the customer base.

• Prepare progress reports, program reviews as needed, to ensure the highest quality and cost effectiveness.

• Leads customer audits

• Leads meetings

• Provides activity and status reports to management.

• Performs all other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND JOB KNOWLEDGE

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials, business, or technical discipline preferred

• 5 years of experience in manufacturing/assembly operations, quality, engineering (design or manufacturing), and materials/procurement; preferably in aerospace.

• Demonstrated self-starter & the ability to perform with minimal supervision.

• Experience leading teams focused on problem solving and improvements.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, can provide an unobstructed vision of the strategy and processes for key stakeholders.

• Prominent level of analytical ability to identify and evaluate appropriate courses of action for definition and resolution of complex problems.

• Excellent proven problem-solving skills, systemic approach mindset, use of structured problem-solving approach – Ishikawa, 3 legs 5 whys.

• Ability to assess and analyze risk on a day-to-day basis.

• Self‐motivated and able to get results with minimal supervision and oversight.

• Excellent organizational and project management skills and ability to work on multiple projects in parallel.

• Hands‐on experience with quality assurance processes including, but not limited to, inspection of hardware and paperwork, product, and process audits,

• Fostering Teamwork & Diversity: a high level of interpersonal skills is required to handle difficult situations as well as to diffuse interpersonal conflict effectively.

• Certified Green Belt or equivalent; Lean Expert or Black Belt preferred.

• Experience with Automotive or Aerospace products preferred.

• Additional experience or training in Process Mapping, FMEAs or APQP/PPAP preferred.

• Experience using Six Sigma Plus tools preferred.

• This position requires the use of information subject to the International Traffic in Arms
