Quality Control Inspector

At Kammerer Dynamics Inc. (KDi), we are growing fast. With our new fabrication facility, robotic welders, lasers, and a high-volume powder coating line, we need a Quality Control Tech who can keep up with the pace. We aren't looking for someone to just "check boxes"—we need a self-starter who takes ownership of the final product and ensures our customers get exactly what they ordered, every single time.

In this role, you are the final line of defense. You will be on the floor, working with our fabrication and paint teams to ensure everything from large weldments to custom-built parts meets our prints and our standards. The Mission:

• The Final Gatekeeper: Perform rigorous inspections of parts and projects against blueprints. If it isn’t right, you are the one with the authority and the responsibility to work the problem until it is.
• Coating Excellence: Inspect the quality of our powder coating finishes, ensuring durability and aesthetics meet our high standards.
• Technical Accuracy: Utilize hand measuring tools and your expert blueprint-reading skills to verify tolerances and dimensions on complex structural and one-off fab jobs.
• Keep the Pace: Work closely with the production schedule. Quality control shouldn't be a bottleneck; you’ll need to stay organized and move efficiently to meet customer due dates without cutting corners.
• Document & Organize: Manage project documents and fill out detailed inspection reports to ensure full traceability and professional communication with our clients.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in a fabrication or industrial environment.
• Technical Skills: Must be highly proficient in reading blueprints and using precision hand measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, etc.).
• Mindset: A "Trust but Verify" attitude. You must be hyper-attentive to detail while maintaining an upbeat, motivated personality that inspires the team.
• Problem Solver: A self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do when they see an issue.
