Job Title: Quality Control Analyst - 1st Shift

Job Description

The Quality Control Analyst III is responsible for evaluating material and product quality by performing various procedures in the chemistry lab. This role involves interaction with formulation, filling, and packaging personnel to support facility functions.

Responsibilities

  • Perform wet chemistry tests and assays following laboratory standard operating procedures and using instrumentation.
  • Review and revise existing testing procedures, instrument procedures, and laboratory documentation as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining an audit-ready status for the laboratory in accordance with applicable global regulatory agencies.
  • Conduct experimental work under supervision for future products and their respective testing procedures.
  • Record and report results and significant observations accurately.
  • Perform special testing and assist in instrument and process validations when required.
  • Train new team members on testing procedures and compliance regulations.
  • Support internal and external customer requirements in a team environment.
  • Work safely according to regulations, standards, and procedures to minimize health and environmental risks.
  • Notify management of any unsafe conditions or practices and report all safety and environmental incidents immediately.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in chemistry and GMP standards.
  • Exposure to GxP, GMP, and GDP for at least 6 months.
  • Experience with HPLC for at least 6 months.
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science field with coursework in General, Organic, and Analytical chemistry.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Analytical Chemistry testing within an FDA-regulated environment, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Work Environment

The position involves sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). It is set in a light industrial pharmaceutical manufacturing laboratory environment with potential exposure to standard manufacturing noise. Overtime and alternate hours may be required to meet deadlines and support during busy production periods.

This is a Contract position based out of Raleigh, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $37.00/hr.
