Quality Assurance/ Quality Assurance Specialist and QC


As Quality Assurance Specialist and QC, the employee will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols while supporting product development, production, and market entry. This role requires a deep understanding of food safety regulations, quality systems, and industry-specific guidelines to ensure that raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products meet company and regulatory standards. The idea for the new person is to bring expertise in both quality assurance management and quality control within the food industry.


Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance (QA): 1. Quality Management Systems (QMS): Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS that complies with food safety standards such as HACCP, SQF, BRC, ISO 22000, and other relevant certifications. 2. Internal Audits & Inspections: Lead and conduct internal audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and food safety guidelines. 3. Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA): Manage the CAPA system by identifying areas of non-compliance, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. 4. Product Quality & Safety Testing: Oversee the testing, inspection, and verification of food products, ensuring they meet all quality specifications, taste, safety, and regulatory requirements. 5. Supplier & Vendor Management: Evaluate and qualify suppliers and third-party vendors to ensure they meet food safety and quality standards and manage regular audits and performance reviews. 6. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all quality control processes, inspections, audits, and product testing results. Prepare detailed quality reports for internal teams and external stakeholders. 7. Employee Training: Develop and deliver training programs on food safety, quality management systems, and compliance standards to ensure all staff are aware of the latest practices and regulations. 8. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, problems, and opportunities for enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.


Position: Quality Control (QC) 1. Conduct routine quality checks of production batches. 2. Perform sampling, physical, chemical, and organoleptic testing on products (Able to use specific lab equipment such as Titrator, Densimeter, Refractometer, Flash point tester, etc.). 3. Maintain documentation of test results and flag any deviations. 4. Support root cause analysis and assist in corrective/preventive actions performing necessary adjustments to production batches. 5. Assist with GMP compliance and ensure proper sanitation practices are followed. 6. Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment. 7. Support QA audits and participate in internal inspections. 8. Communicate non-conformities to the QA team and support investigations. 9. Operate according to FSSC 22000, HACCP, and GMP standards. 10. Prepare, package, and send samples to approved external labs. 11. Monitor the shelf life of raw materials in production.e Specialist
