This is a permanent GS-11 position. Upon deployment overseas, the employee will be temporarily promoted to the GS-12 grade level, if eligible, for the duration of the deployment. Upon return to CONUS the employee will be changed to lower grade to the permanent grade level. If you do not meet the Time in Grade or Specialized experience for the temporary promotion, you will deploy at the lower grade level, GS-11. Once the four year commitment is successfully met you will be placed into a non-deployable position in the CMO for which you were hired at the permanent GS-11 grade level. This position does not meet criteria for appointment of Reemployed Annuitants. The DoD criteria for hiring Reemployed Annuitants can be found in DoDI 1400.25-V300. Tour of Duty: Flexible. Deployable schedule tour of duty will require evenings, weekends and holiday work hours, and overtime.
