Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Austin, TX. We’re looking for a Quality Assurance & Regulatory Manager who will play a key role in supporting our product lifecycle, from ensuring labeling accuracy and regulatory readiness to overseeing co-manufacturer compliance and fulfillment-center operations. This person will serve as a bridge between internal teams, external partners, and operational workflows to ensure all Legendairy Milk products meet or exceed industry standards.
Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Labeling
- Review and approve product labels, packaging, and marketing claims to ensure compliance with FDA, FTC, cGMP, DSHEA, and international regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and update product specifications, ingredient documentation, and supplier documentation.
- Partner with Product Development and Marketing to ensure compliant communication throughout product assets.
Co-manufacturing Management
- Oversee QA processes related to co-manufacturers, including batch record review, deviation investigations, CAPAs, and change controls.
- Ensure contract manufacturers meet Legendairy Milk’s quality standards through audits, compliance verification, and ongoing performance management.
- Support new product onboarding with ingredient verification, specification creation, and testing protocols.
Testing & Quality Verification
- Coordinate 3rd-party product testing (micro, heavy metals, identity, purity, potency, stability, etc.) and ensure timely results and documentation.
- Implement and maintain quality systems to support product safety, consistency, and regulatory readiness.
Fulfillment Warehouse QA Compliance
- Support fulfillment operations and ensure they follow robust QA protocols, including proper storage, lot control, FIFO, and complaint handling processes.
- Conduct audits and develop SOPs to ensure warehouse operations align with FDA and cGMP expectations.
- Serve as the QA point of contact for customer issue investigations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Food Science, Nutrition, Biology, Chemistry) or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of experience in dietary supplements, natural products, or adjacent regulated industries.
- Strong working knowledge of FDA dietary supplement regulations, cGMP (21 CFR Part 111), and labeling/claim compliance.
- Experience managing QA processes with co-manufacturers and fulfillment centers.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a solutions-oriented mindset.
