Main Purpose:

The QA inspector inspects a range of components, parts and/or products for the area assigned as prescribed by all applicable specifications and quality assurance instructions.

Reporting to: Operations Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electromechanical builds for workmanship and compliance with drawings, specifications, and IPC/WHMA-A-620 requirements.
  • Under general direction, this position is responsible for FAI and final inspections of electrical cables and final products using associated drawing, schematics and parts lists.
  • Maintains proper records of FAI, and final inspections. And issue Quality Alerts to the team as needed.
  • Identify, document, and segregate nonconforming products, communicate findings with quality and production personnel.
  • Support AS9100/ISO9001 quality system requirements and continuous improvement activities.
  • Perform any other tasks, instructions or assignments received from supervisors or management personnel.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • A secondary certificate combination of relevant education and work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations.
  • Minimum 3 years of quality control inspector experience in electronics.
  • Basic knowledge of IPC standards for acceptability of electronic assemblies and MIL standards for soldering and assembly requirements.
  • Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, including engineering drawings, diagrams, and sketches.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position.Days and hours are Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM TO 3:00 PM.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.


Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.
