Role: Quality Assurance EngineerClient: Defense-AerospaceHourly Rate: up to $55/hr (W2, non-benefited) Length: 1 year Location:Clearwater, FLSchedule: 4/10, 1st ShiftClearance: Candidate must have the Ability to Obtain Secret Clearance. Not needed to start.Description:
  • Apply quality principles to production control, design evaluations, and engineering workflows to ensure specifications are consistently met.
  • Collaborate with Quality Program Managers (QPMs) and production teams to improve workflows within the Oldsmar site and partner locations.
  • Lead root-cause investigations into product failures, analyze defect trends, and implement corrective/preventative measures.
  • Develop and refine inspection processes and contribute to building advanced testing mechanisms and systems.
  • Support quality for commodities (CCAs, cables, box assemblies) manufactured for internal customers across other sites.
  • Leverage Tableau dashboards and predictive analytics to monitor production metrics and identify trends.
  • Initiate automation and AI solutions to reduce errors and drive predictive quality outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills - adept at collaborating across sites and program teams.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 standards or equivalent aerospace quality models.
  • Comfortable with hardware engineering requirements, integration, and system testing processes.
  • Understanding of basic manufacturing requirements and quality engineering systems.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in Additive Manufacturing.
  • 2-4 years of experience working with AS9100 standards.
  • 2-4 years of expertise in Rapid Prototyping.
  • 2-4 years of experience conducting Audits.
  • 2-4 years of experience generating Quality Audit Reports.
Desired Skills
  • Basic familiarity with Surface Mount Technology is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Tableau or other platforms for quality tracking.
  • Certifications like Lean Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving methods.
  • Experience with CCAs, cabling assemblies, and box-level components.
  • Familiarity with IPC and J-STD standards for component and system analysis.
  • Interest in Additive Manufacturing, Rapid Prototyping, and AI inspection platforms.
