The Position: We are actively seeking a highly motivated QCM/SSHO Superintendent (“Dual Cap”) to support large-scale Federal and Healthcare construction projects throughout the DC Metro and Virginia markets. This is a pivotal leadership opportunity for a construction professional who can successfully manage quality control, site safety, field coordination, and project execution within active healthcare and federal environments.


Key Projects (Immediate): Our future QCM/SSHO Super will immediately step into a major $30M+ healthcare and federal facilities project and play a critical role in ensuring operational excellence from project startup through closeout. This position offers accelerated career growth, exposure to complex projects, and direct interaction with executive leadership teams.


What You’ll Do

  • Oversee daily field operations for large-scale federal and healthcare construction projects
  • Serve as Quality Control Manager (QCM) // Site Safety Health Officer (SSHO), ensuring all project work complies with contract requirements, specifications, and quality standards
  • Act as QCM/SSHO and maintain strict compliance with OSHA standards, EM 385 regulations, and overall site safety protocols
  • Coordinate field activities with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
  • Manage schedules, project sequencing, field logistics, and day-to-day project execution
  • Conduct quality inspections, safety audits, progress reporting, and documentation management
  • Review and coordinate project drawings, RFIs, submittals, punch lists, and closeout processes
  • Lead meetings with owners, government representatives, healthcare personnel, consultants, and internal project teams
  • Proactively identify and resolve field, scheduling, safety, and quality issues
  • Support project budgeting, forecasting, procurement coordination, and operational planning
  • Travel regionally throughout EST / DC / VA project locations as required


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of construction experience supporting Federal, Healthcare, Institutional, or large-scale commercial projects required
  • Proven experience in QCM/SSHO, Superintendent, or Dual Cap leadership roles
  • Strong understanding of federal construction standards, quality management systems, and safety compliance requirements
  • Experience working within active healthcare facilities, hospitals, federal agencies, or highly regulated environments preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors, project schedules, and field coordination efforts simultaneously
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation, scheduling, quality control reporting, and project administration
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and client-facing skills
  • OSHA safety knowledge required; EM 385 familiarity strongly preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel regionally as project demands require
