Python Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Sr Python Developer with financial exp for an 12+ months contract to hire with our client in Plano, TX or Jersey City, NJ. Ideally looking for applicants with a solid background in the financial services industry.

Looking for candidates who doesn’t need sponsorship.

Rate Range: $65/hour to $68/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Description for Python Developer:

Responsibilities:

• Hands on development of mission critical surveillance applications supporting compliance and regulatory initiatives
• Design, build, and enhance Python based backend services and APIs
• Own delivery of assigned JIRA stories across monthly release cycles
• Develop and support solutions on the Quartz platform, addressing regulatory initiatives, audit findings, and control enhancements
• Analyze complex, domain specific datasets for trade surveillance and risk use cases
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and SDLC best practices
• Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, business analysts, and compliance partners

Skills required:

• 5+ years of hands on software development experience
• Strong, production level Python development
• REST API development and service oriented architecture
• ReactJS / full stack development experience
• Experience with relational and object databases
• Solid understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and version control
• Strong financial experience

• Enterprise trade surveillance and compliance applications within Enterprise Risk & Finance Technology
• Regulatory driven initiatives delivered through the Quartz platform
• Surveillance and monitoring solutions covering Front Office and Global Markets activity
