Join our team as a Public Works Operations Supervisor and play a key role in keeping our community safe, clean, and well-maintained through high-quality vegetation management services. In this dynamic leadership role, you’ll guide field operations, collaborate with City leadership, and drive continuous improvements while delivering responsive, professional service to residents and stakeholders.

Recruitment information:

  • Default schedule will be the following: Mondays-Thursdays (4/10) every Friday off (6:00 am - 4:30 pm)
What will you do in this position?
  • Ensure vegetation management activities consistently meet the City’s established service standards while collaborating closely with Division leadership and the Public Works Operations Manager to align priorities, maximize resources, and advance strategic goals.
  • Work in close coordination with Maintenance & Operations supervisors, managers, and leads to ensure continuous system coverage and deliver prompt, well-organized responses to service disruptions and urgent issues.
  • Plan, assign, schedule, supervise, and review the daily work of staff performing vegetation management activities.
  • Ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to high-quality standards across areas such as right-of-way mowing, tree trimming, and work zones, while verifying workmanship and proper use of materials.
  • Work with Division leadership to identify workflow issues, address operational challenges, and assess existing practices, recommending and implementing approved improvements to boost efficiency, productivity, and overall service delivery.
  • Respond to resident and customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a high level of customer service. Elevate complex or sensitive matters to the Public Works Operations Manager as needed while keeping leadership informed.
  • Communicate effectively and courteously with officials, residents, contractors, and staff, providing helpful information on City and departmental matters.
