This role plays a key part in ensuring continuity of supply by leveraging data analysis, forecasting, and cross-functional coordination. Job Description
The Purchasing Coordinator will provide analytical and operational support to the materials planning team. This role is responsible for developing vendor forecasts, identifying potential supply gaps, and collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely material availability. The position requires strong Excel and ERP system skills, as well as the ability to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain vendor forecasts using SAP and Excel
- Compile and analyze data to identify and quantify potential supply gaps
- Monitor open orders and proactively follow up on confirmations, changes, or delays
- Coordinate with procurement, planning, and supplier partners to resolve supply constraints
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support team members with reporting and analytical tasks, with regular communication via Teams and email
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant planning/buying experience
- 0–2 years of experience in planning, procurement, or supply chain-related roles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to analyze supply plans and clearly communicate risks or gaps
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with ERP systems, with SAP strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams in a supply chain or operations environment
