Purchasing Specialist
Hybrid- Gardena (on-site 3 days)
Pay rate: $26 to $30 per hour
Overview
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to support our procurement operations. This role is responsible for sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing, processing purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and experienced in coordinating purchasing activities that align with business needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the full purchasing cycle including vendor sourcing, quoting, order placement, and delivery follow‑up
• Evaluate suppliers on cost, quality, reliability, and service; maintain strong vendor relationships
• Negotiate pricing and contractual terms to achieve cost‑effective procurement
• Create, review, and process purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Monitor inventory levels and work with internal teams to forecast material needs
• Resolve issues with order discrepancies, delays, or invoicing errors
• Maintain purchasing records, pricing updates, and supplier documentation
• Support budgeting and cost‑analysis initiatives
• Collaborate with finance, operations, and project teams to meet procurement timelines and requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain coordination
• Strong negotiation and vendor‑management skills
• Proficiency in Excel and purchasing/ERP systems
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to analyze data and produce accurate reports
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
