The Opportunity

At Punch Rescue, we build beautifully simple, hyper-reliable safety and communication technology used by K–12 schools, YMCAs, and healthcare organizations across the country. When emergencies happen, our platform helps people communicate and act with clarity—when systems are most likely to fail.

This summer, we’re launching our first structured internship program: one cohort, three tracks, real work from week one. You won’t be shadowing. You’ll work directly with the founding team, own a scoped project end-to-end, and present it at the end of the summer.

We’re hiring three interns this summer — one focused on QA & Shipping support, one Agent Deployment Engineer (ADE), and one Sales & Partner Support intern. Every track is based in our Charlotte office with flexible weekly scheduling. Whatever the arrangement, an excellent, hands-on experience is guaranteed.

The Three Tracks

Pick the track that fits you best when you apply. We’ll help you confirm the fit during the interview.

Track 1: Operations Intern, QA & Shipping

Best fit for a highly organized student or recent grad who loves operations, order accuracy, and visible daily execution. You’ll keep our shipping pipeline running cleanly, run QA checklists before product leaves the building, triage exceptions, and deliver one process-improvement project that makes the team faster after you leave.

Track 2: Agent Deployment Engineer (ADE) Intern

Best fit for a technical builder who likes scripting, APIs, automation, and prompt design. You’ll build agents that connect to our systems—reducing manual work and creating real operating leverage. You’ll map workflows, build the agents, and ship at least one production-worthy tool with documentation, evals, and a real user.

Track 3: Sales & Partner Support Intern

Best fit for someone who is confident communicating with people, can learn a product fast, and wants hands-on exposure to demos, pipeline work, and partner support. You’ll research and qualify leads, support and run demos, keep the CRM clean, and — by the end of the program — run at least one solo demo or partner-support session.

What You’ll Do

Across all three tracks, every intern will:

  • Own a clearly scoped project from week one, with measurable outcomes and a final presentation.
  • Work directly with operators, founders and customers.
  • Document what you build so the next person can pick it up.
  • Get real feedback every week, a written midpoint review, and a final evaluation.
  • Contribute to a team whose product protects lives.

What You Bring

  • Reliability and follow-through: You do what you said you’d do, on time and tell us early when something’s blocking you.
  • Clear communication: In writing, in meetings, and in tight customer-facing moments.
  • A figure-it-out mindset: You don’t need every step spelled out before you start.
  • Coachability: You take feedback well and apply it quickly.
  • Charlotte availability: You can be in our office on a schedule we agree on together. We’re flexible on hours so we can work around classes, exams, or other commitments.

Track-specific qualifications:

  • QA & Shipping: Strong attention to detail; comfort with spreadsheets and checklists; able to handle physical work (lifting, packaging, repetitive accuracy).
  • ADE: Some hands-on experience with scripting, APIs, AI tools, or no-code/low-code automation; a debugging mindset; strong written documentation habits.
  • Sales & Partner Support: Confidence on calls and in writing; strong note-taking; curiosity about the people on the other end of the conversation.

Why You’ll Love It Here

  • Mission with meaning
  • Real ownership in a small team
  • Direct access to founders and operators
  • A tangible project you can show
  • Performance-based upside

The Future You’re Building

A summer at Punch Rescue is a chance to learn how a small, fast company actually ships product, supports customers and grows revenue. You will have the opportunity to leave behind something concrete with the work you complete. Whether you grow with us into a full-time role or carry these reps into your next opportunity, you’ll leave with stronger skills, a tangible portfolio piece and the confidence that comes from doing real work that mattered.
