The City of Wabasha is hiring for a Public Works Technician I or Public Works Technician II position. Starting salary for Public Works Technician I is $24.39 per hour and starting salary for Public Works II is $25.62. The position also includes full benefits including health care, vacation/sick, and retirement benefits.
The Public Works Technician (I or II) serves as the main laborer (I) or lead laborer (II) carrying out the specific plans and work as directed by the Director and Assistant Director. Performs skilled maintenance work with City streets, storm sewers, equipment, grounds, buildings, city parks, swimming pool, skating rink, campgrounds, and warming house; and performs related duties as required. Will have monthly on call requirements. Current hours are Monday-Thursday 6AM-4:30PM, four-day work weeks.
