If so, our summer/seasonal maintenance positions are something you should consider. Working as a seasonal Maintenance Aide in our Public Works department is a great way to get outside, earn money, and help keep Redmond beautiful and running smoothly.
If you are new in your construction or maintenance career, a summer position with the City of Redmond gives you the chance to show us your hustle, work ethic, how well you work on a team, and how well you take direction from your team leaders and supervisors. In other words, if you show up and shine during your seasonal position, it puts you on a path towards other opportunities with us or other organizations. Many full-time employees in Public Works started in one of our seasonal positions.
Our teams work 10-hour days, four days a week Monday-Thursday, giving you one business day off per week.
The start date for these positions begins on April 1, 2026, and continue through September 30, 2026.
